Jason Ott
Jason’s journey began with an attempt to gain a greater understanding of one of the biggest questions, what are the causes of disease? He lost his mother from brain cancer, and in that process made a clear connection between the modern American lifestyle and our chronic disease rates being higher than anywhere else in the world. Why is America the wealthiest country in the world, and also the sickest?
During a career spanning nearing two decades, Jason’s discovery of the medicinal power of plants is backed by published, peer-reviewed medical journal research as repeatable healing protocols. He first stumbled upon this while studying the biochemistry of plants that herbalists have used to nourish the structure and function of our organ systems for thousands of years. This helps the body to improve health or return to homeostasis, especially when combined with the medical advice at the same time. He found organizations that have been using nutrition & lifestyle change to reverse heart disease, diabetes, certain cancers, & autoimmune conditions since the 1980s!
Since then, the list of diseases that are preventable and/or reversible by combining medical treatment, diet change, lifestyle, and herbalism has grown dramatically.
The powerful properties of plants transformed his health, along with the health of his family and clients who have applied his expertise on nutrition and various lifestyle changes. Jason’s youth was consumed with understanding “what’s truly healthy” when he watched his mother go through brain cancer treatment as a child.
This saved her life then, but according to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, the amount of chemotherapy and radiation she received is the reason she eventually lost her life, even though she was cancer free until the day she passed. If not from cancer…then what was it? It brought up many questions: Why didn’t hospitals use nutritional therapy also? Why do some populations never have a single reported case of specific cancer? What are the root causes of cancer? Why do some people heal, and others do not?
These answers came when Jason was diagnosed with pre-hypertensive high blood pressure, ulcerative colitis, and adrenal fatigue in his mid-20s. This was a divine blessing! The diagnoses led to educating himself in herbalism and the medical food as medicine movement, which has proven the ability to prevent, arrest, and reverse diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, lupus, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and many more chronic conditions. He applied this knowledge to his life and healed himself. The standard American diet is acidic, chemically toxic, and lacks micronutrients.
Life is stressful, and our environmental stressors are the highest in the world. It’s clear that nutrition and lifestyle are contributing to all diseases. When you correct this, you allow the body a chance to heal as it is designed to.
